12th ANNUAL CORPORATE CUP CHALLENGE RAISES OVER $11,000

The 12th Annual Corporate Cup Challenge games were held on June 11th, 12th and 13th.  21 area businesses with over 500 employees competed in nine different events.  Teams competed in one of two divisions, based on company size. 

Table tennis and 3-point shot were played on Friday, June 11^th at White Park . Volleyball, softball and horseshoes took place on Saturday at White Park . The final events took place on Sunday. The 4x100 running relay and 800M run were held at the WVU track, bowling at Suburban Lanes and the swimming relay at the WVU Rec Center . Points were awarded for performance in each event.

All proceeds from the competition benefited the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties. This event raised over $11,000 for the 2011 United Way Campaign. 

Kristan Rogers of Pfizer and Sean Sikora of PRC co-chaired the Corporate Cup.  Sponsors were BB&T, March-Westin, PRC, URS, Mon General, Stoller, Dinsmore & Shohl and WVU Hospitals.
